Dions Pizza: Albuquerque NM

Alright folks, Taste the Waste is back!!!! however tonight's Halloween show was a total disaster. The band did not even attempt their famous musical costume. They basically came out and played 3 songs for 2 and a half hours. This would have been mind bending a few years ago when the band was at their prime, but tonight's show was just a meandering waste of time. The extended jam of Space Truckin' was completely uninspired. Zo spent the majority of his time fucking around with his amps. Caffey's solos were pretty much one note masturbation sessions and Chainsaw was so drunk he might as well have not even shown up. Southside and Rico tried to hold the show together by laying down some semi-serious funk but it just wasn't enough. By the time Trilok had his 3rd talking drum solo the crowd was totally listless. I know I shouldn't complain about any Taste the Waste show especially during the current drought, but after tonights show I think the band needs to seriously reevaluate their entire existence.
Set I
Space Truckin' (57 Minutes!!!)

Space Truckin' Reprise (43 Minutes)

Gilson Beach: Wilmette, IL

HOLY SHIT!!!!
This is not a joke!
Last Sunday afternoon there was an acoustic jam session with the following members of the Taste the Waste.
Chainsaw - Guitar, Bass, Harmonica, Vocals, & Tabla
Zo - Guitar, Bass, Marimba, Mandolin, Tamborine & Vocals
Caffey - Guitar, Accordian, Tin Whistle, Vocals & Tuvan Throat Singing
Rico - Congas, Finger Cymbals, Sax, & Vocals

Although it is unknown how long the guys had actually been playing David Minkus reportedly showed up at Gilson for a little Frisbee Golf when he discovered the jam session already in progress. It is still unclear whether or not a full reunion will take place anytime soon, however the band seemed really happy to be jamming together. Here is the unofficial setlist if you happened to witness this historic event please let us know if we are missing anything.

Announcements

It's been a while since Taste the Waste took the stage however there has been some recent chatter about the band!
Chainsaw has a cameo in the upcoming Lifetime original movie "Don't Eat the Brown Acid"
There is a rumor floating around on the internet that Caffey will be performing a solo show at an undisclosed location. Caffey has been busy endorsing his new line of vegan cheese snacks "Harmony Chips" and has not responded to our requests to confirm this rumor.
Also, Zo's long awaited childrens CD "Shaking Coke Cans and Other Assorted Love Songs" is apparently almost ready for pressing!!!!!
Trilok has been busy on tour with his Billy Joel cover band "The Glass Houses Experience"
Rico and Scheafer's CD "Lovin Your Smile" just sold it's 10,000th copy (way to go guys!) If you haven't already purchased this CD you should. Relix describes it as "the most depressing music of the year!"
Southside is still missing.

Stay tuned for more exciting Taste the Waste News

First, I was not spinning in the balcony of the Mike Gordon/Leo Kotke show in Santa Fe. Second, I'm still a vegaterian so all those reports of me eating beef sandwiches are totally false. Third, I am not currently the voice of the Bear on Breakfast with Bear" He finished his speech by yelling "Ok enough already It's Halloween Let's Fuckin Party" then he mooned the crowd
