Lando Speaks

Here is an excerpt form Caffey's new book titled 'I Dreamed of Wearing a Jumpsuit... The end of cross cultural experiences'

I never fully understood why Anita insisted that she was Burmese. The rest of the band felt that she inspired my creativity, but it was never like that. I was inspired (during that phase) by things like imagining Angus Young setting Karen Carpenters childhood home on fire, or running naked in the woods w/ Ched. Those runs we took were the exact form of spiritual Chaos I was craving. It was during one of those awkward times that I was inspired to start singing 'And I Moved'. Many people think that the song is about a near homosexual experience, and I like to play on the eroticism in the song. But the truth is one time running with Ched, we stopped to eat some peyote and go swimming. Ched started to freak out and say things like "We can never tell them" and "I think tomorrow is not today" I got really annoyed and left him in the woods naked and crying. 2 days later, Ched was nowhere to be seen, so I went back to our swimming hole and he was there shaking in the mud looking like he had seen a ghost. Thus I was inspired to sing "And I Moved". It's funny, every once in a while I ask Ched what happened that day, and he has totally blanked out the whole experience.
