Taste the Waste Comes Under Fire

Official Statement from Taste the Waste

We here at Taste the Waste are appalled by the recent allegations against our organization. We cannot deny Zo's statements in a recent interview for Relix magazine, however everything Zo said was taken totally out of context. It is true that Zo does not like blues music, but that has nothing to do with how Zo feels about African American people. We are infuriated by turmoil this interview has caused. We, as a band and individuals strive to accept and love all people equally. When Zo said "Oh that music just bothers me" & "The blues is just boring to me" he in no way was trying to put down a group of people. Zo loves Rap & Reggae! We are constantly trying to work blues numbers into the repertoire. Back when this band was first forming Zo, (because he understands the history of rock music) agreed to play blues songs. He has even been known to say things like "Damn, when we went into the blues jam in g# during XootubutooX we were really going for it!!!!" We hope that we can leave these difficult times behind us. We deeply apologize if any of our fans have been mislead by the media. Lastly, for the record, Caffey has never appeared on stage in black face or wearing a Billy D Williams Mask.
Happy Holidays
Taste the Waste
