The Saw Answers

I would like to thank everyone who has stood by my side in these difficult times. Those hate mongers who printed my interview will someday have to answer to their own pyschosis. The letters I've received from fans all over the world have really been inspiring. One of the letters I received really touched my heart, and I would like to share it.
Dear Chainsaw,
I think you are the greatest! Your work has inspired me to drop out of school and become a full time performance artist. My last piece was titled "I'll Give you Rock" I spent 3 weeks driving a around the city of Barcelona blasting Taste the Waste music over a loud speaker. At one point there was about 200 hundred people chasing my car. I couldn't believe that the rock music of Taste the Waste had inspired such a mob to drop what they were doing and joyfully follow me. Eventually it became clear that the mob was not happy and that indeed they were trying to kill me. I'm still not certain if I hit a pedestrian or an animal. There was a small amount of blood and flesh stuck in one of my headlights, but it was unfortunately unidentifiable. During that brief moment when I thought the mob was chasing after the music, I have never in my life felt so proud to be a fan of Rock Music. Thank you for the glimpse into spiritual greatness

Thank you Ernesto, for your heartfelt letter.

Chainsaw on the edge of Sanity:

Spin Magazine Interview
by Blake Hanafan

Blake: Hey Saw, how have you been? It's great to see you
Saw: Not so great Blake,
Blake: What gives Saw, why the long face
Saw: I think that the band is trying to force me out.
Blake: What do you mean force you out?
Saw: I know it sounds paranoid, and I've been seeking professional help for my bouts with extreme paranoia, but this time I think it's real. You see I like to listen to our soundboard recordings while I meditate. Any ways this morning as I was laying in my deprivation chamber cranking the Wheeler Opera House gig I noticed that I was completely out of the mix.
Blake: What do you mean out of the mix
Saw: Well any thing I played or sang that night was not heard by anyone except for me.
Blake: Whoaaa are you sure about this
Saw: Yah I'm sure, I thought it was weird during the show when I went to sing the 3rd verse, which I normally sing of The All New Minglewood Blues that Caffey cut me off. And again during my normal moog solo on Don't Trust Andy, Zo took over doing his trademark Yamar solo.
Blake: That is a great solo
Saw: After the show I went looking for the guys but they were all in Rico's dressing room and would not answer the door when I knocked. The lights were off, but I know they were in there. I could hear giggling every time I knocked.
Blake: That's cold man
Saw: Tell me about it. Oh and check this out, I was riding around with Schiponiac the other day and I saw in the back seat of his car what looked like the design for a live album cover. The funny thing about it was that I wasn't on the cover. When I asked him what it was he was like oh it's nothing and quickly threw his sweat jacket on top of it.
Blake: Are you sure your just not reading into this the wrong way. Not to be rude but I heard about your breakdown when you were on tour with Pregnant Wolf.
Saw: That was a really dark time, I was convinced that the rest of the band was trying to dose me. It got to the point where I wouldn't eat or drink anything when they were in the room.
Blake: But in the end they weren't trying to hurt you, it was just your own paranoid delusions that got the best of you.
Saw: Yah your right, but it seems so clear this time. I can't explain it Please don't publish this part of the interview I don't want everyone to think I'm losing it.
Blake: Don't worry, we won't print it. You have my word. I understand, You can totally trust me. Not a word of this will leak out. Now lets get on to happier stuff. What do you think of Zo's new Pink guitar...
Editors note: Chainsaw went on to talk incoherently about the solar system giving way to a new type of matter and something about how John Coltrane sang about it on Giant Steps.
